Cellular One is pleased to offer Lifeline service in Montana. Lifeline is a government assistance program that offers qualified, low-income customers a discount on their monthly wireless phone bill. Lifeline assistance is only available to qualified, low-income customers in limited geographic areas. Lifeline assistance is only available for one wireless or wireline phone per household. Other restrictions may apply.
Link-Up helps households pay the activation fee for cellular service. With Cellular One, there is no activation fee for qualified low-income customers under the Link-Up program.
If you qualify for Lifeline assistance, you can receive cellular
service for only $15.99 per month or just $1.00 per month for residents
of Tribal lands. If you qualify for Lifeline, you also qualify

How do I know if I am eligible?
You may qualify for discounts if you are an adult (18 years or older) and receive
Medicaid services. If you live on Tribal Lands , you may qualify if you have
income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or participate in any of the
following qualifying assistance programs:

Are there any restrictions?
The Lifeline customer must reside in an area where Cellular One has
been designated as an Eligible Telecommunications Carrier (“ETC”). You
are not eligible for Lifeline service unless your principal residence
address in within one of our ETC-designated areas. A Cellular One
representative will check this when you sign up. The name on your phone
bill must match the name of the participant who is eligible for
Lifeline. Only one Lifeline account is available per household.
