Community Involvement

From the beginning, the founders of Cellular One understood the importance of contributing to the economic and social well-being of the communities where we live and conduct business. Today, that same philosophy remains an integral part of Cellular One’s strategic goals. Everyone at Cellular One shares a deep rooted understanding that to achieve success we must reinvest in our communities and help to sustain them.

Many of our executive leaders, managers, and employees donate their time, talent and expertise, and leadership to numerous community organizations.  As a result, our support to the economic and social welfare of the communities we serve takes on many forms.

One form of community support is through our non-profit volunteer efforts.  We are very actively involved with organizations such as the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) chapters within our markets; Active Minds, a national organization working to utilize the student voice to change the conversation about mental health on college campuses by developing and supporting student run chapters, and many others.  An independent non-profit foundation, the Family Support Foundation for Mental Illness (FSFMI) has even been formed out of our commitment to making a difference for this cause.

Another form of contributing to our communities is through our financial support. With the establishment of FSFMI in 2008, we are able to offer financial support and fundraising to area not-for-profit organizations and assist them in their efforts to provide much needed community programs and services.
